Industrial Electrician - Food manufacturing facility in Toronto

Located in North York  near  HWY 400 and Wilson AVE

 

Job Functions:

  • Perform preventative Maintenance according to specifications and using instructions of Maintenance Management.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment, the building, and all of its components.
  • Design and build electrical panels for machinery.
  • Design and build electrical circuits to improve the performance of equipment and machinery.

 

Requirements:

  • Able to work any shift.

     

  • Completion of an apprenticeship program & certified as 309A and /or 442A Electrician in Ontario.

  • 3+ years of hands on experience in food manufacturing preferred

  • Trouble shooting skills for Electrical & Mechanical problems
  • Understanding of electrical circuitry
  • Knowledge of PLC’s, maintenance shop machinery and electronics
  • Knowledge of building wiring and CSA codes as it applies to an Industrial establishment.
  • Strong reading, writing and communication skills.
  • Able to lift and move heavy machinery.
  • Ability to work at heights, heat, cold, and within guidelines of Occupational Health & Safety.
